Made by Hand. Built to Last.
The Obsidian Table takes its name from volcanic glass — the darkest, most reflective stone in nature. Formed under pressure. Finished to a mirror.
The top is high-gloss black lacquer, its surface so polished it becomes a second room. Objects placed on it double. Light bends around its softly curved edges. The time of day changes what it looks like. Morning is different from evening. A candle beside it is different from a ceiling light above it. It is one of the few tables that rewards you for looking at it closely.
Below, the base tells a different story. Four sculpted legs in deep espresso wood, each one carved with a scalloped arch that references the language of architecture — columns, vaults, doorways. The cutouts between them catch shadow and hold it. Where the top reflects everything, the base absorbs it.
The contrast between the two gloss above, carved matte below is what makes the Obsidian more than a table. It is a composition.
Place it between two Cove Chairs. Set a single candle on it at night. The room will do the rest.
